Terms of Service.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and Cyboflow (“Cyboflow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your download, installation, and use of the Cyboflow desktop application and any related documentation, updates, and websites we operate (collectively, the “Software”).
By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the Software.
1. What Cyboflow Is
Cyboflow is a self-contained macOS desktop application that helps you build and run multi-agent software-development workflows on your own computer. It orchestrates Anthropic’s Claude Code and the Claude Agent SDK to run sessions in isolated git worktrees, provides a centralized human review queue, native task tracking, and analytics about your workflow runs.
The Software runs locally on your device. Cyboflow is a coordination layer on top of tools you provide and authenticate yourself (see Section 4). It does not include or resell access to Claude, Claude Code, or any third-party AI model.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Software. If you use the Software on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and “you” includes that organization.
3. License Grant and Open-Source Notice
3.1 Open-source license
The Cyboflow application source code is made available under the MIT License. The MIT License governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the source code, and its warranty disclaimers apply. A copy of the MIT License is distributed with the Software (the LICENSE file) and is incorporated here by reference. In the event of a conflict between the MIT License and these Terms with respect to the open-source code itself, the MIT License controls for that code.
3.2 These Terms
These Terms additionally govern your use of the compiled, distributed Software, our websites, our update services, and any other services we provide, none of which are required to be offered under the MIT License.
3.3 Provenance and attribution
Cyboflow is a fork of the Crystal project by Stravu, licensed under the MIT License. Crystal’s copyright notices are retained in the Software as the MIT License requires. You must preserve all copyright, license, and attribution notices when you copy or redistribute the source code.
4. Third-Party Tools and Accounts
The Software requires third-party software and accounts that you obtain, install, authenticate, and pay for separately, including:
- Claude Code and an associated Anthropic account or API credentials; and
- a local Git installation and the local code repositories you choose to work with.
Your use of those tools is governed by their own terms and policies, including Anthropic’s Usage Policies, Commercial or Consumer Terms, and Privacy Policy, and Anthropic’s data-retention and model-training practices. When you run a workflow, the prompts, code, files, and other content you direct the Software to process are transmitted from your device to Anthropic (and any other services you connect) under those third parties’ terms, not ours. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with all such terms and for ensuring you have the rights to submit your content to them.
Cyboflow is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, PBC. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. Other names are trademarks of their respective owners.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
- use the Software in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or of any third-party terms (including Anthropic’s Usage Policies);
- use the Software to develop, generate, or operate malware, exploits, or other malicious code, or to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any system or data;
- use the Software to infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of others;
- submit to connected AI tools any content you are not authorized to share, or any content whose processing would violate applicable law (including export-control or data-protection law);
- remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, or misrepresent the Software’s origin or your affiliation with us;
- use the Software to build a competing product by means that violate applicable law or these Terms; or
- use the Software in any high-risk setting where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage.
You are solely responsible for the code, configurations, workflows, and other content you create, run, review, approve, or deploy using the Software, and for any consequences of doing so.
6. Updates
The Software may check for and install updates from our update service (https://updates.cyboflow.com). Update downloads and installation are user-triggered; checking for updates may transmit limited technical information as described in our Privacy Policy. We may modify, add, or discontinue features at any time. We are not obligated to provide support, maintenance, or future versions.
7. Your Content and Local Data
The Software stores its operational data — including your projects list, session metadata, task records, workflow definitions, analytics, and logs — locally on your device (for example, in a local database within the application’s data directory). We do not host, receive, or store this data on our servers, and we do not access the contents of your code repositories.
You retain all rights in your repositories, code, and other content. These Terms do not grant us any license to your content. You are responsible for backing up your data; uninstalling the Software or deleting its data directory may permanently remove locally stored data.
8. Intellectual Property
Except for the source code licensed under the MIT License and any third-party components under their own licenses, the Software, the “Cyboflow” name and logo, our websites, and their look and feel are owned by Cyboflow or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in our trademarks; the MIT License does not grant trademark rights.
9. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Software, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you.
10. Disclaimers
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will produce correct, complete, or reliable code or results.
The Software automates the use of AI agents that can take actions on your local system and connected tools. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, insecure, or harmful, and agents may take unintended actions. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and approving all output and actions before relying on or deploying them. We are not responsible for the output, conduct, availability, terms, or data practices of any third-party tool or model you connect, including Claude Code and Anthropic services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Cyboflow or its officers, directors, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of (or inability to use) the Software, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cyboflow’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Software will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Software in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cyboflow and its officers, directors, employees, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Software, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Termination
These Terms apply while you use the Software. We may suspend or terminate your license under these Terms if you materially breach them. You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 7 through 16 — survive. Termination of these Terms does not terminate your rights in the MIT-licensed source code, which are governed by the MIT License.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction, you and we agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute will be the state and federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. If you are an EU/UK/other consumer, mandatory local-law protections and venues continue to apply to you.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. General
These Terms, together with the MIT License and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Software. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only.
